I would like to propose a tasty and delicious appetizer, very easy to prepare.
Ingredients x 6/7 “girelle”:
- 1 Rectangular puff pastry roll
- 120 gr. Tomato sauce
- Spices to taste (smoked paprika, allspice and garlic powder)
- Oregano
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
Procedure:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
In a pan, pour a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, spices (smoked paprika, allspice and garlic owder) and a teaspoon of dried oregano. Turn on the heat and let it flavor for about 30 seconds, then insert the tomato sauce and mix well. Arrange the taste by adding salt and let go over low heat for about 6/8 minutes.
Unroll the puff pastry; stuff half of it with tomato sauce and a further sprinkling of oregano. Close, sealing the edges, and cut strips (6 or 7 pieces). Roll them one by one and then make the “girelle”.
Bake them at 200°C (392°F) for about 15 minutes.

Notes:
- To get different tastes, you can sprinkle the tomato sauce with vegan cheese or with Taggiasche olives cut into slices.
